Green is Good

Last year I fell in love with a 5.32ct green marquise tourmaline. The deep rich colour saturation, the perfect proportions, the way the light danced across the surface, the sheer size. I had to have it. Fortunately Jason one of our leading designer jewellers also shared my enthusiasm. He created several detailed designs using swirling lines, a variety of diamond shapes, differing colours of gold until we narrowed it down to three designs.
Eventually we chose this finely detailed layered design with a sculptured cross over band.

This spectacular statement piece proved a challenge to craft as each interlocking layer was painstakingly hand saw pierced then diamond set before it was assembled. Yellow gold highlights including centre claws and setting were added to compliment the striking green centre-piece.
We decided to have one side of the cross over band plain to contrast the diamond set overlap, which created an interesting cross over effect. The base of the band was accented with a rub over set marquise theme. It was one thing to design and craft such a mesmerizing dress ring but what truly pleased us was how well it hugged the finger. Now in store at Cleveland. See it while you can. Try it on. Fall in love.

Keep smiling
