This Art Deco inspired designer dress ring was handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold in our local workshop. It features miligrain edging & round brilliant cut diamonds.
Miligrain was very popular in the Art Deco period of last century & this is when it got its name. The name miligrain was derived from the French ‘mille-grain’ and translates to “a thousand grains.” The technique is much older & in many centuries older & originated in Southeast Asia. It was found in earrings & rings in archeological digs.
Note the elaborate backing plate a Stephen Dibb Jewellery design signature.
