Wilhelmina – Art Deco inspired Dress ring
This Art Deco inspired, designer, dress ring was handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold in our Cleveland workshop.
It featured miligrain edging & round brilliant cut diamonds. Milgrain is the tiny dots of gold along the edges. Miligrain was very popular in the Art Deco period of last century & this is when it got its name. The name miligrain was derived from the French ‘mille-grain’ and translates to “a thousand grains.” The technique is much older & in many centuries older & originated in Southeast Asia. It was found in earrings & rings in archaeological digs.
