Exclusive Mokume Gane Men’s Range

Exclusive Mokume Gane Gents Ring Range

A Beautiful and Unique Collection

This range has been very successful, with owners enjoying the comfortable fit and the joy of the beautiful and unique patterning on every ring. Due to its popularity, the range has been extended to incorporate panel signet rings and women’s rings. Customers have also commissioned a variety of custom designs featuring Mokume Gane. Adding to its versatility, my son, Yared, even created a pendant set from this beautiful metal.

A Journey of Mastery

Instead of watching TV one night, my son and I decided to embark on a journey! Our goal was to create our very own Mokume Gane range of men’s rings. We began with extensive research and then combined the skills of our entire team of expert jewellers to fuse ancient metalworking techniques with ethically-sourced, 100% recycled, Australian metals.

After a year of dedication and experimentation, we perfected the process, ensuring that every ring features an amazing organic pattern and enticing colours.

The History of Mokume Gane

Mokume Gane, which means “wood grain metal,” is a traditional Japanese technique of fusing and working different metals to create fluid, organic patterns. Originally, this beautiful technique was used to decorate Samurai swords. By the 1950s, however, the knowledge of Mokume Gane was on the brink of disappearing due to the immense skill and difficulty involved in mastering the art.

Australian Craftsmanship

We are incredibly proud to have revived this ancient craft and created our own unique range of Mokume Gane for the Australian market. Every piece is Australian made with ethically-sourced Australian metals and represents the perfect combination of tradition, skill, and artistry.
